Richard Wade curriculum Vitae

Since graduating from a degree in Fine Art at Falmouth College of Art Richard completed a postgraduate diploma in World Art Studies at the University of East Anglia. He went on to work for five years as an artist’s assistant to the London based painter Ben Johnson whilst maintaining his own studio practice. Various projects and commissions he assisted with included a residency at the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool as part of the 2008 city of culture celebrations, a solo show at the Alan Cristea Gallery and a residency at the National Gallery.

Since returning to Norfolk at the start of 2011 he has had the opportunity to dedicate more of his time to his own working practice. From the start of April 2012 Richard held the position of Artist in Residence at the Anteros Arts Foundation 7-15 Fye Bridge Street, Norwich, NR3 1LJ for the duration of one year. Richard participated in 2012 Brighton Art Fair and had a solo exhibition of his recent works at the Anteros Arts Foundation in February 2013. Richard is currently studying an MA in Fine Art at Norwich University of the Arts graduating in September 2015.
